The Seventh Meeting of the Executive Steering Committee was held at the Granados Park Hotel in Asuncion, and was attended by representatives of the South American countries as well as officials from observer organizations and institutions that make up the Technical Coordination Committee (CCT) of IIRSA.

The objective of the Seventh Meeting of the CDE was to analyze the achievements and progress made in the management IIRSA during 2005, particularly for the construction of a Strategic Vision for South American physical integration and promotion and implementation of strategic projects.

Also, the 2006-2010 strategic objectives were defined taking into account four areas of action on which the Initiative will focus its efforts: (i) implementation, (ii) Planning-Stage II, (iii) PSI -a new approach, and (iv) Dissemination Initiative wide. Based on guidelines established future work based on the concept of quality of IIRSA jump for second half, the 2006 Action Plan and tentative schedule of activities was approved.

That is to summarize the progress made by countries during the 2005 administration on spatial planning and creation of a portfolio of South American physical integration: On the occasion of this meeting, the document "Progress management Addendum 2005" was presented .
