UNASUR

Mision

TheSouth American Council of Infrastructure and Planning (COSIPLAN) is the forum where political and strategic discussions are held with a view to implementing the integration of South American infrastructure, in the context of a commitment to social, economic and environmental development. It is held by the same country holding the UNASUR Presidency Pro Tempore, except that, upon a proposal of the latter, the Council decides to designate another country by consensus.
 
 
The COSIPLAN It was created within the framework of the Third Meeting of the Council of UNASUR Heads of State on January 28, 2009, in the city of Quito, Ecuador. It is one of the twelve Ministerial and Sectoral Councils of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) and promotes citizen participation by means of the establishment of effective channels for communication, consultation and discussion between its different bodies.
