Third Meeting of the Executive Steering Committee

The Third Meeting of the Executive Steering Committee was held at the Blue Tree Park Hotel Brasilia, and was attended by representatives of the South American countries as well as officials from observer organizations and institutions that make up the Technical Coordination Committee (CCT) of IIRSA.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the future development of the activities of the Initiative based on three fundamental issues: South American Strategic Vision, Private Sector participation and innovative financing mechanisms. Also, a report of the progress made to date in the Initiative was presented, in particular those obtained during the first half of 2002.
