The Fourth Meeting of the Executive Steering Committee was held at the Intercontinental Hotel Tamanaco city of Caracas, and was attended by representatives of the South American countries as well as officials from observer organizations and institutions that make up the Technical Coordination Committee (CCT) of IIRSA.

The purpose of the meeting was to analyze the achievements of the Initiative, the state of affairs of the activities and work plans in the Integration and Development Hubs and Sectoral Integration Processes, future challenges and technical management scheme -institutional Initiative and advances in the design of the Strategic Vision. It was also considered the joint technical support to IIRSA by Regional Technical Agencies.
