The Twelfth Meeting of National Coordinators was held in the Auditorium Raul Prebisch in INTAL headquarters in Buenos Aires, Argentina, during 24 to 26 June 2008 .

The meeting was attended by representatives of the South American countries as well as officials from observer organizations and institutions that make up the Technical Coordination Committee (CCT), (IDB, CAF and FONPLATA), and was chaired by Mr. René Cortés Forero, Director of Infrastructure and Sustainable Energy of the National Planning Department of Colombia, who chairs the Technical Steering Committee (CDE) of IIRSA, during this period.

The objectives of the meeting of National Coordinators were: (i) exchange information about the purpose, design and preparatory activities of the Workshop on Successful Cases and Project Road Show that will be held in November and December respectively, (ii) comprehensively analyze the IIRSA Project Portfolio in light of GTE held in 2007 and 2008, and (iii) monitoring the work plan of the Initiative for 2008, with special emphasis on the results obtained and steps Carry on specified topics on the agenda of the meeting.
