The First Meeting of National Coordinators was held at the National School of Public Administration (ENAP) in Brazil and was attended by representatives of the South American countries as well as officials of the institutions that make up the Technical Coordination Committee (CCT) and IIRSA bodies as observers LAIA , ECLAC and the Secretariat of the Andean Community of Nations.
This meeting aimed to conduct a review of the technical progress of the Initiative in the field of Integration and Development Hubs (EID) and Sectoral Integration Processes (PSI), paying particular attention to the mandate of the Third Meeting of the CDE in developing a strategic vision for the region and the actions to be addressed within the framework of the Initiative during the first months of 2003. Also, aspects of the organization of the Fourth Meeting of the Executive Steering Committee (CDE) to be held in the city of Caracas, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in July 2003 were discussed.
The meeting IIRSA National Coordinators was preceded by an event organized by the government of Brazil on "International Experiences of Planning/Budget and Evaluation System Federal and Territorial Planning", which took place on 10 December. The objective of this seminar was to present by the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management of Brazil experiences in countries such as Germany, Australia, Canada, England and Sweden among others, on this subject.
