The Fifth Meeting of National Coordinators was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Lima, Peru and was attended by representatives of the South American countries as well as officials from observer organizations and institutions that make up the Technical Coordination Committee (CCT) IIRSA .

As was agreed in the framework of the Fourth Meeting of National Coordinators conducted between 18 and 20 August 2004, the objective of this meeting was to assess the progress made since that date around the following topics: Portfolio IIRSA Project 2004, strategic package of IIRSA (strategic Vision for the Regional Physical Integration, Business Visions of Integration and Development Hubs and documents relating to the Project Portfolio Project - sheets , profiles - Clusters); Processes sectoral Integration, Participation and Public Outreach of IIRSA, and aspects form part of the work agenda of the next meeting of the CDE as well as preparatory work for IIRSA issues to be addressed at the Summit of December 2004

As part of the point on IIRSA Project Portfolio 2004 issue of the Implementation Agenda based on Consensus 2005-2010 document was then submitted for approval by Ministers at the Sixth Meeting of the Executive Steering Committee held on 23 addressed and 24 November in the city of Lima.
