The Ninth Meeting of National Coordinators was held at the Swissotel in Quito , Ecuador , on days 8 and 9 November 2006 .

The meeting was attended by representatives of the South American countries as well as officials from observer organizations and institutions that make up the Technical Coordination Committee (CCT ) , (IDB , CAF and FONPLATA ) , and was chaired by Mr. Edwin Mejia Gallegos, Deputy Minister of Public Works and Communications of Ecuador , who chairs the Technical Steering Committee (CDE ) of IIRSA , during this period.

The objective of the meeting of National Coordinators was to analyze the results of the activities carried out in 2006 and proposed work for 2007 to be carried consideration at the next meeting of the Executive Steering Committee (CDE ) of IIRSA.

The National Coordinators meeting was preceded by a Workshop on Economic and Financial issues related to the Implementation of Integration Projects on 7 November. View event.

Also, at that time a presentation on general guidelines of the methodological framework for the implementation of the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA ) in Groups IIRSA Project was conducted. This presentation is intended to provide a summary of the work done on EAE, timely workshop with a comprehensive analysis of the methodology and its application will be made.
