On April 15, 2015, the city of Montevideo, Uruguay, hosted the Meeting of the Executive Technical Group to Update the COSIPLAN Project Portfolio and the Integration Priority Project Agenda (API). The meeting was attended by delegates from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela, as well as by representatives of the UNASUR General Secretariat and IIRSA Technical Coordination Committee.
At the meeting, the current status of the COSIPLAN Project Portfolio and API as of December 2014 as well as a diagnosis of the information included in the PIS were presented. Furthermore, the countries scheduled virtual meetings to update Portfolio and API projects involving the nine Integration and Development Hubs, which will be held in May and June.
In addition, the results of the Socioeconomic and Environmental Characterization of the Integration and Development Hubs were presented. The purpose of these studies is to describe, on the basis of up-to-date information and sources provided by the countries, the economic, social and environmental aspects of the territories covered by the Hubs and their linkage to the infrastructure planned by COSIPLAN.
