On September 9, the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, hosted the IV Meeting of the Working Group on Financing and Guarantee Mechanisms, which was attended by representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Paraguay, as well as from the UNASUR General Secretariat. The Bank of the South, the China Development Bank, the New Development Bank (BRICS), Brazil’s National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), the Secretariat of IIRSA Technical Coordination Committee, the IDB, CAF and FONPLATA were also represented at the meeting.

The main purpose of the event was to hold a dialogue on alternatives to finance the projects that make up the Integration Priority Project Agenda (API).
