On April 22, 23 and 24, 2014, the city of Bogotá, Colombia, hosted the Meeting of the Executive Technical Groups on the Integration and Development Hubs to Update the COSIPLAN Project Portfolio and the Integration Priority Project Agenda (API), which was attended by delegations from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, and Uruguay as well as by members of the UNASUR General Secretariat and of IIRSA Technical Coordination Committee.
As a result of the meeting, the countries —with a view to improving project data quality— reached an agreement to incorporate specific descriptors by sector and subsector for projects at the pre-execution and execution stages and results indicators for projects already completed. These new information fields in the project files will provide significant technical data, measure project progress to produce results reports.
Furthermore, a series of functional improvements to the Project Information System (PIS) were approved, and the use of the Continuous Monitoring System (CMS) for all the COSIPLAN Portfolio projects was agreed upon. Before, this monitoring module was only available for API projects, and access to it is limited to authorized government officials.
